World Book Day: Recommended Reads

World Book Day is something I remember participating in heavily during primary school. So I thought why not give you some of my favourite reads for you to indulge in this world book day.

Childhood Favourite: Want to reminisce and read something that reminds you of your childhood? I recommend a Roald Dahl Classic such as Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, The Witches or Matilda! These books are such a fun and shorter read that not only keep you engaged but give you that blast to the past.

Factual/Fascinating Read: Pick up an autobiography of one of your favourite celebrities, historians etc. and learn more about their life and maybe find something out you never knew.

Fantasy/Supernatural Read: Want a more creative read that explores the world of fantasy? I'd recommend the following series:

-The Mortal Instruments

-Harry Potter/Fantastic Beasts

Harry Potter is something close to many of us and it never hurts to revisit a classic. The other collection is The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare, these books also have a film series and tv spin off called “Shadow Hunters”

Personally, for this world book day I’ve been re-reading IT by Stephen King. This is a lengthy read but a certainly interesting one, and for those who have never read the book I definitely suggest taking the time to do so!

What are you reading this World Book Day? Let us know!
